This is a single image from a stereoview card.

It is very early, possibly taken in the late 1850s. It is definitely before 1862 as there is no repair near the 'Little Sark' end.

In those days there were no safety barriers - it was also very narrow and with the inclines and descents over the whole length, it would have made the crossing quite terrifying to the faint hearted especially when it was windy.
