An archive of early Channel Island (Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark & Herm) photographs plus other interesting images as well!

This website's primary aim is to give anyone interested a chance to see images from the early years of photography and if they have an image archive collection themselves or just doing research, a means of reference.

To help pay for the ongoing running of this website, print orders from some of the images are welcome. Please see PRINT SALES for details.

High resolution digital files for commercial use are also available in certain circumstances- please email type of use and list the images of interest for pricing details to

Most photographic collections whether in a museum or held privately should be stored in an environment of controlled humidity and light for archival longevity, otherwise they will fade and be lost for future generations to see. Due to this fact, old photographs should not be permanently on view - The internet is a perfect medium to remedy this issue.

This site is a large ongoing project with new material being added from contributors and also from the author's own collection. I encourage anyone who has any information on any of the pictures shown to email me, I will be grateful for your comments.

I look forward to hearing from you.
