Clos Vivier Forest Guernsey RAF Bombing

This image is annotated on the reverse in pencil 'Clos Vivier Forest Airport Bombing'.

On the 9th August 1940 the RAF bombed the Guernsey Airport in daylight hours. It is believed that this photograph shows a house called 'Clos Vivier' being also hit.
