The photographing of the Mummy << Don't Move!>>

This is from a Cabinet photograph (No 1905) published by AD. Braun et Cie of a painting (C1891) by the salon painter Marius Michel. It is understood that the painting was exhibited in the French section of the Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893.

It is believed the scene is set in the museum at Giza and shows Mr Brugsch timing an exposure of a mummy casing.
