Platte Fougere Lighthouse early in 1909 during building

Platte Fougere Light on the Braye Reef.

Completed in 1910 - 15 metres tall with a range of 16 miles. It is a black/white lighthouse beacon exhibiting red and white sectored light.

This was the first concrete lighthouse and also the first unattended one controlled from ashore. It cost £10,000 to build.
