This photo dates between the mid 1870's and the mid 1880's and shows Elizabeth College and some graves at the Rue des Freres cemetery which are now no longer there. Old buildings which are now part of the college grounds have also been knocked down.

The original negative is about 10 x 8 inches in size - just think how big the camera was!
