An Unusual Funeral

This was photo taken during the occupation of the Channel Islands. I think it is in Jersey and depicts German troops carrying two coffins draped with the Union flag.

It is possible that it may be the funerals at Mont a l'Abbe cemetary(3/06/43) of R.A.F Sergeants Butlin and Holden who were shot down over Jersey. It is conjectured that full military honours were given to try and keep the local inhabitants peaceful.

If anyone can confirm or dispove the above information, I would be glad to hear from you.
