The Ship Inn was situated on the Quay close to where Marks & Spencer (Creaseys) are now. It shows Richard Le Bargy's Uncle, Harold Hobbs and the innkeeper Mr Cooper.

Harold Hobbs was killed by German gunfire whilst aboard the relief lifeboat off Noirmont Point in Jersey on 28th June 1940.
