ST PETER PORT HARBOUR AREA 1800's

These images were taken in the environs of St Peter Port harbour in the 1800's. The photographers names are listed when known.

Passengers Landing

This photo shows passengers disembarking at the Castle breakwater during the consruction of the new harbour. it was taken in 1865/6.

At this time there was no lighthouse. The lighthouse was built shortly afterwards and was lit for the first time on 3rd March 1867.
