Trying to Trace the Boundaries

Members of the Douzaine try to Trace the Boundaries of the Villagers' Scattered Strips of Land

The Douzaine is like the parish council. it is responsible for settling questions of property. The Germans have taken away the boundary stones, destroying the marks which have divided the land for hundreds of years.Until boundaries are settled, communal farming will be organised.
