Petit Bot Bay in the 1930's

This image shows Dingles Hotel near the loophole tower.

This hotel was built by Mr Dingle c1920 - he also built the road by the hotel to the main upper road.

The hotel had 23 bedrooms and a veranda. It burnt down in on the 29th November 1939 (the occupying forces had not arrived then). The States of Guernsey bought the land and demolished the ruins. The concrete steps that led up to the hotel, are all that remains now.
