The water mill at Petit Bot - Easter 1917
The water mill at Petit Bot - Easter 1917

This image shows how beautiful the water mill building was at Petit Bot.

The photograph was taken at Easter in 1917; way before it became an hotel and then subsequently demolished.

The photo has been partially colourised by the author.

Apparently there were two benches on the site and they both still survive and were moved to St Andrews. Legend has it that they were 'deck' chairs from a shipwreck possibly off the Gouffre.

There is a Facebook page called 'Petit Bot Tearooms' showing more images of the mill and of course the tea rooms.
